Eximbank meets the demand for foreign currencies of customers

In order to satisfy customers’ demand for foreign currencies, from March 24th 2011, Eximbank will sell foreign currency banknotes such as USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, HDK, JPY, etc. at quoted prices to customers going overseas for business, studies, medical treatment, traveling or visiting relatives, etc. based on their presentation of all required documents to prove their purpose of foreign currency purchase (according to Decision No.2295/2010/EIB/QĐ-TGD on December 29th 2011); customers will be sold the local currencies of the country they come to.

- Customers going overseas for traveling, visiting relatives, or for business will be entitled to buy the equivalent amounts to USD 300 per person if the duration of stay is less than 7 days and USD 600 per person if the duration of stay is more than 7 days.

- Customers going abroad for medical treatment will be allowed to purchase the equivalent amounts to USD 600 per person if the duration is less than 7 days and USD 1,000 per person if the duration of stay is more than 7 days.

- For foreign currency demand to cover living expenses for overseas studies, customers will be allowed to purchase the equivalent amount to USD 7,000 per person maximum.

In addition, Eximbank also actively boosts its marketing activities and consults individual customers to open and use the international payment cards including Eximbank Visa and Eximbank MasterCard in order to meet their overseas payment demands instead of buying foreign currency banknotes.
