Supporting frontline units in epidemic prevention, Eximbank donated 500 million VND

Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic across the country, on the morning of April 15, 2020, at the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Import-Export Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) directly donated 500 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC).

This amount is deducted from Eximbank's Trade Union fund with the support of thousands of employees who wish to join the entire people in supporting the frontline unit - HCDC in epidemic prevention and control work.

At the award ceremony, Doctor Nguyen Hoai Nam - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that in the current situation, in order to be able to control the pandemic well, in addition to the efforts of the government and health agencies, , people need to be more serious and drastic in epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, Dr. Hoai Nam also determined that epidemic prevention and control is a long-term work, and that the city government can do well thanks to the companionship of businesses. He expressed his deep gratitude to business units in general and Eximbank in particular for joining hands with the city to prevent the epidemic during the current period.

Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic also negatively affects poor households and workers who have lost their jobs during the period of implementing "Social Distancing" as directed by the Government.
