Eximbank organizes humanitarian blood donation festival "Living is to love"

On June 1, Eximbank coordinated with the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (Hanoi) to organize a humanitarian blood donation festival with the message "To live is to love".

Following the success of blood donation volunteer programs in recent years, this program continues to be supported and participated by a large number of Eximbank employees, contributing nearly 100 units of blood for emergency services. and prevention for patients, especially after the period of social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the blood reserve to ensure patient treatment is increasingly decreasing.

Mr. Pham Tuan Duong, Specialist II Doctor - Deputy Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion said: "We are being severely affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, and Vietnam's blood transfusion work is also being seriously affected. It is no exception that the voluntary blood donation movement was also interrupted due to the epidemic. Faced with the situation of decreasing blood reserves while the need for blood for treatment is still urgent every day, the contributions of Eximbank in particular and other organizations are no exception. Officials and organizations in general are truly a valuable source of contribution to help us cure many patients in need of blood. We sincerely thank the noble gesture of Eximbank employees for the country's health sector, especially in these difficult times".

In addition, to prevent epidemics, the hospital also tightens the screening process, strictly controls people coming to donate blood, equips masks, and disinfects hands according to procedures to ensure the quality of blood supplied to patients. .

Humanitarian blood donation is an activity with many practical meanings towards the social community that Eximbank launches every year. "Over the past years, Eximbank's staff and employees have actively participated in the humanitarian blood donation movement, especially during this period, we hope to partly join hands to support frontline units with peace of mind. focus on epidemic prevention. The Bank hopes that the blood units that Eximbank brothers and sisters share today will bring life to many patients. Eximbank wishes the health sector to continue to be steadfast and fulfill its mission. mission of taking care of people's health" – Eximbank representative shared.

 

During the period of joining hands with the whole country to prevent and fight Covid-19, Eximbank also launched many community-oriented programs. Accordingly, the bank donated 500 million VND to support the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital and 500 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control. This amount of money is taken from Eximbank's Trade Union fund with the support of thousands of employees, to join the whole country in supporting front-line units in epidemic prevention and control.

At the same time, Eximbank's Board of Directors also deducted a part of their salary to join hands with employees to donate thousands of gifts to poor households and workers who lost their jobs due to the epidemic.

In addition, the bank has proactively reduced lending interest rates to partly share difficulties with customers as the Covid-19 epidemic becomes increasingly complicated as it is today. In addition, the bank also waives and reduces transaction fees, quickly disburses money to customers, actively supports customers in debt restructuring, debt rescheduling or considering maintaining the same debt group for customers affected by the epidemic according to in accordance with the policy of the State Bank.
