Eximbank – Journey towards the Central region

Sharing the same heart towards the Central region, recently, Eximbank continued the journey of "Sharing love" to join hands with the whole country to support people in the flood zone - An Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

In recent days, heavy rain and floods have caused the Central region, which has suffered a lot during the war, to once again struggle with natural disasters and floods. Some provinces and cities here recorded record levels of floods, especially Quang Binh - a place that almost fell before a deluge unprecedented in the history of natural disasters. People all over the country unanimously look towards the Central region. Faced with that situation, Eximbank coordinated with the local government of An Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province to establish a list of people facing difficulties, find out their actual needs to support people to overcome them. difficulties, rebuilding after storms and floods.

The volunteer team went deep into the flooded area of ​​An Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

Present in Quang Binh province at 5 a.m. on October 24, 2020, the Eximbank delegation entered areas still flooded with floodwater such as An Thuy commune, Le Thuy district. Even though the sun is shining and the water has receded, some places here are still deeply flooded, making transportation very difficult. Houses were sunk deep in the sea, furniture, livestock, and crops were submerged and swept away by the water. The delegation thoughtfully visited and encouraged people and gave 45 gifts including essential necessities such as rice, instant noodles, cakes, cash... The delegation also gave 20 more gifts to the people of Quang Binh. along the travel journey.


With a mission of love, Eximbank employees hope to partly ease the pain that the people of the Central region are suffering.

Although the value of each gift is not large, through it we want to convey the sharing and spirit of solidarity of the Vietnamese people to warm people's hearts and help them overcome this pain of loss. . We will continue to monitor the flood situation in the Central region and coordinate with local authorities to take practical actions to help people here rebuild their lives" - Ms. Trinh Thi Hai Yen - Head of Eximbank Representative Office in Hanoi sharing after a meaningful trip.

The working group directly visited and encouraged households that suffered heavy damage caused by storms and floods.

Goodbye Quang Binh, in the heart of every Eximbank officer is always haunted by the thought of what else to do to help the people of the Central region alleviate their hardships and misfortunes. We pray that the Central region will soon overcome the great disaster and that we will once again see images of fertile fields and peaceful, warm villages.
