ADB INCREASES TRADE FINANCING LIMIT FOR EXIMBANK BANK TO 75 MILLION USD

On March 31, 2023, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) just announced to continue increasing the trade finance limit for Eximbank from 31.5 million USD to 75 million USD.

The year 2022 was a year of impressive business growth for Eximbank, specifically: Consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND 3,709 billion (48% higher than plan and 3 times higher than the same period in 2021). Most of Eximbank's business segments had positive profits last year. Net profit from business activities increased by 74%, reaching nearly 3,813 billion VND, of which, non-interest income sources increased sharply by 46% to reach 1,696 billion VND. As of December 31, 2022, Eximbank's total assets increased by 12% compared to the beginning of the year, to VND 185,056 billion.

Recently, Eximbank set a target plan for 2023: Total assets reached 210,000 billion VND, an increase of 13.5% compared to 2022; Capital mobilization is expected to increase by 11% to 165,000 billion; Outstanding credit balance  increased by 12.3% to 146,600 billion. This credit growth target will be implemented under conditions permitted by the State Bank; Target pre-tax profit is 5,000 billion, up 35%.
