40 MBA students of Kellogg School Management, Northwestern University, Chicago to visit Eximbank

Within the scope of the field survey of the economies of countries in Asia, in the afternoon on Mar 25, 2013, 40 MBA students of Kellogg School of Management,  KelloggNorthwestern University, Chicago (Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University) paid a visit to the Head Office of Eximbank and met with Dr. Truong Van Phuoc – Vice Chairman cum Chief Executive Officer of the Bank – to discuss the macro-economy, economic sectors and situation of finance-banking in Vietnam. The team was led by Dr. Trinh Kim Chi*, Clinical Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago.

During the meeting, Dr. Truong Van Phuoc briefly presented information about the Vietnamese economy and such industries as energy, health care, education, technology, etc.; and helped the students to understand more clearly about the commercial bank governance, exchange rate regulation – foreign exchange control policies, restructuring – merger among banks, and settlement of bad assets in the Vietnamese market. In addition, Dr. Truong Van Phuoc also gave his opinions about the markets research thesis for investment raised by the students.

Northwestern University, Chicago highly appreciated the precious, and useful knowledge and experience that Dr. Truong Van Phuoc had spent his valuable time to share with them, enabling them to have an objective and practical judgments about the economy and finance-banking in Vietnam.
