Increase security for international cards with International Card Online Transaction Authentication Service - Eximbank 3D Secure

1. Service introduction:

International Card Online Transaction Authentication Service (Eximbank 3D Secure), including Verified by Visa authentication feature for Visa cards and MasterCard SecureCode for MasterCard cards, is a free card account protection service, helping customers Avoid being taken advantage of and using your card illegally in online payments.

Accordingly, when making online payment transactions on e-commerce websites with logos   or   , customers will take the additional step of authenticating the transaction using the OTP (One Time Password) password sent to the phone number. or email of the Customer previously registered with Eximbank.

2. Target users:

All international cardholders under the Visa and MasterCard brands issued by Eximbank.

3. Register to use 3D Secure service:

a) Registration information:

Service card number.

Mobile phone number to receive OTP password (can register up to 2 phone numbers/1 card).

Email address to receive OTP to use the service (only allowed to register a maximum of 1 email address).

b) Service registration channels:

At Eximbank's transaction points nationwide.

Through electronic banking channels (Eximbank EDigi).

Send a text message to 8419 with the following syntax: EIB_3DSECURE_<first 6 digits of card><last 4 digits of card> or EIB_3DSECURE_<first 6 digits of card><last 4 digits of card>_Email

(note: "_" is a space in the message)

For example: EIB_3DSECURE_4027371234_annguyen@gmail.com

Conditions: The mobile phone number used for texting must be the phone number registered to use the SMS Alert service.

Via Eximbank's 24/7 Customer Service Hotline 18001199.

Conditions: The mobile phone number calling the switchboard must be the phone number registered on the card issuance application with Eximbank.

Note: Currently, Eximbank has registered 3D Secure service by default for all international cards issued before November 12, 2013 and have registered phone number information with Eximbank (excluding supplementary cards). Please contact 18001199, Eximbank transaction points or log in to Internet Banking for detailed registration information and to change the phone number to use the service (if any).

c) 3D Secure service activation time:

Customers can use the service after 1 working day (excluding days off and holidays) from the time the customer registers the service with Eximbank.

4. Instructions for using the 3D Secure service when shopping online at websites with the logo  or  (download the instruction file to register and use the service).

Select the goods and services to buy.

Enter card information: Full name of cardholder, card number, card validity, CVV2/CVC2 number (last 3 numbers printed on the signature bar on the back of the card)

Payment confirmation.

Select the mobile phone number to receive the OTP password.

Enter OTP (sent via mobile phone subscription or cardholder's registered email).

Confirm payment and complete transaction.
